Blueberry wine AND melted Cheese…
Now that I have your attention let me tell you about me and my mom’s guilty pleasure. Located off Ranch Road 12 between Wimberley and Dripping Springs, TX is a place we’d call our second home. It is also the home of Wimberley Valley Winery Blueberry Wine or crack in a bottle if I do say so myself.
The best way to describe the flavor is to compare it to eating a handful of the ripest, juiciest blueberries you’ve ever had but add 12% alcohol. It’s the perfect drink for relaxing under their giant oak trees in the center of the hill country. To top it all off they are now serving artisan pizza that is the perfect size to share between two (or one… no judgment here). We got the most popular “Meat and Shroom” and it didn’t disappoint!
How they keep this operation running during the current shit storm the world is going through is a simple food truck serving situation. The red double decker bus is where they are keeping the liquid gold. Then the newest addition is the black food truck just on the other side of the deck. Once you get your food and wine you are free to find a table or lawn chairs and park it there till you get your fill! Or buzz… We usually go for the buzz.
This place is a little piece of heaven for my mom and I. Oh!! It’s also 100% pup friendly and my bluetick coonhound, Birdie, loves going there almost as much as she loved the pizza. Go visit Wimberley Valley Winery and grab a bottle, glass, or make a reservation for a tasting!!!
